TET general information
Ab Ovo has created a technology that delivers reliable solutions, based on industry standards, capable of providing you with high performance software and with the capacity for high-volume processing. TET is not only a sophisticated software creation and maintenance tool, but also an environment with built-in support for important principles such as life cycles and real-time processing. Systems built using TET are therefore event and data-driven by nature, without compromising performance.
Basic principles
TET was designed using the following basic principles:
- TET includes principles such as event- and data-driven, object orientation, lifecycle coverage and reuse of objects;
- TET supports a formal representation of an application system. It does not rely on other tools for specification of the details;
- The formal representation is platform independent;
- TET is able to automatically generate the complete system executable.
Packaging “Application Architecture”
Generation is possible for every mainstream platform, for application logic, persistent data storage and user interfaces. As such, TET supports an ever growing set of platforms, database managers and middleware, including MS Windows applications and internet user interfaces, IBM OS/390 (mainframe), MS Windows, UNIX (Linux, AIX), MS .NET, IBM WebSphere application server, Sun’s J2EE application server, DB2, Oracle, and MS SQLServer. TET can generate sources in several languages, such as COBOL, C++ and Java.
In 2003 TET won the RAD Race. The Rapid Application Development Race is a programming competition open to any kind of development tool and/or language. Applications based on TET are built for Railion Netherlands, Gumeva Pharma, NAC Lithuania and NMC Latvia.
