Design Patterns are sets of design materials that represent a solution for specific functional, infrastructural or other often-recurring requirements. Any IT specialist with design experience will confirm that many common requirements exist, even between systems that support completely different businesses. Design Patterns are important productivity drivers in our approach. Based on historic design experience, we make a set of Design Patterns available that together cover most of the infrastructure and application needs of any business support system. Design Patterns are donated to the model for a new system and, where relevant, may be customized or enhanced. These will help the design, or represent customizable generic systems. In today's world, many models are available. Ab Ovo aligned itself with preeminent architects, ensuring an ever growing Design Pattern library.
